01 · Materials
What materials can be treated?
We provide fire-retardant treatment for a wide range of absorbent materials, including:
- Curtains and stage drapes
- Fabric installations and displays
- Upholstery covers
- Artificial plants and decorative foliage
- Dried flowers and botanical displays
- Rugs and loose floor coverings
- Flags and banners
- Props and production materials
- Raw, untreated timber
The treatment and standard used depend on the material and the requirement given for the project.
02 · On-site work
Is treatment completed on site?
Much of our London work is completed on site.
Curtains can remain hanging while they are cleaned and treated. Installed artificial plants, displays, fabric installations and decorative materials can also be treated at the venue.
Smaller loose items may be treated at our Colchester workshop when this is more practical.
03 · Documentation
Will a certificate be supplied?
Yes. After treatment and payment, a Certificate of Fire Retardant Treatment is supplied.
The certificate records:
- The items or materials treated
- The London site or project
- The treatment standard
- The fire-retardant product used
- Maintenance and retreatment information
The certificate can be retained with the venue’s fire-safety, insurance and project records.
