Curtain Cleaning and Fireproofing Across Three Cornwall Schools

Multi-site school work succeeds when every curtain is measured, grouped by location and planned around access, teaching and drying time.

Multi-site school work succeeds when every curtain is measured, grouped by location and planned around access, teaching and drying time.

Preparing a multi-site schedule

Each curtain is listed by room with its drop, bottom width and lining details. Access equipment, floor protection and drying time are planned before the team arrives.

Grouping the information by school lets the quotation and programme reflect the real work rather than using a rough curtain count.

Working around the schools

Cleaning and treatment are carried out while curtains remain hung, reducing heavy removal and reinstallation. Work can be planned during closures or around the agreed school timetable.

We identify the fabric and apply the appropriate specialist treatment to suitable absorbent curtains.

Certification and ongoing care

After suitable completed work and payment, each treated group is recorded on the Certificate of Fire Retardant Treatment.

Schools should retain the certificate and cleaning record. Retreatment is necessary after five years or five dry cleans, whichever is sooner, and water washing removes the treatment.
