From measurements to certificate, the combined service keeps large curtains in place and gives venues a clear route to clean, compliant curtains.

1. Measure and describe the curtains
Measure the finished drop and width along the bottom edge for each curtain. Tell us whether it is lined, its location and any stage or height-access considerations.
You are welcome to call before gathering everything. Photographs are optional for most curtain quotations.

2. Clean, treat and dry on site
We confirm the fabric and work plan, protect the surrounding area and clean the curtains while they remain hung. Suitable curtains are then treated with the material-appropriate product to the applicable BS 5867 classification.
Natural fibres can move temporarily while damp. Linen may tighten or sag but normally recovers during drying; remaining tightening can often be manipulated after it is dry.

3. Receive the certificate and care guidance
After suitable completed treatment and payment, we issue the Certificate of Fire Retardant Treatment. Test data does not normally need to accompany BS 5867 treatment certification unless specifically requested.
Retreatment is necessary after five years or five dry cleans, whichever is sooner. Regular vacuuming keeps curtains looking pristine and reduces the need for dry cleaning; water washing removes the treatment.
